Website Privacy Policy

Lumora Counseling PLLC (“Lumora Counseling,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Website Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, and disclosed when you visit www.lumora-counseling.com or contact us through our website.

This policy covers information collected through our public website. Our separate Notice of Privacy Practices explains how protected health information is handled in connection with our counseling services.

1. Information We Collect: The information collected depends on how you use our website.

  • Information you provide: Your name, email address, telephone number, and any information you choose to include in a website inquiry.

  • Technical information: Wix or website-related services may collect your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and interactions with the website.

  • Cookies and similar technologies: Wix and certain website features may use cookies or similar technologies to support website functionality, security, and performance.

2. Information collected through our website may be used to:

  • Respond to inquiries about our services.

  • Communicate with individuals who contact us.

  • Operate, maintain, and improve our website.

  • Help prevent spam, misuse, and unauthorized activity.

  • Maintain appropriate business records and comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Contact Form and Sensitive Information: Our website contact form is intended for general inquiries about our services. Please limit your message to general questions or information necessary for an initial inquiry.

Do not submit detailed mental health histories, diagnoses, medication information, treatment records, or other sensitive health information through the general website contact form.

Information submitted through the form may be processed or stored by Wix and relevant service providers. The form should not be assumed to provide the same protections as a designated clinical communication system.

Submitting an inquiry does not, by itself, establish a therapist-client relationship or guarantee that your message has been received, reviewed, or that services will be provided.

If you need to discuss sensitive clinical information, please contact us to arrange an appropriate communication method.

4. Website Hosting, Cookies, and Tracking Technologies: Our website is hosted by Wix. Wix may use cookies and similar technologies to support website functionality, security, and performance. The information collected depends on the features and settings enabled on our website.

At the time of our review, Google Tag, Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager, and TikTok Pixel were displayed as options to connect in Wix Marketing Integrations, and no entries appeared in the Wix Custom Code sections for the Head, Body–Start, or Body–End. We did not identify tracking scripts installed through those routes. These settings do not rule out data collection by Wix, installed apps, or other website features.

You may be able to manage cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through the cookie preference tools on our website. Disabling certain cookies may affect website functionality. We will review this policy if changes to our website tools materially affect how visitor information is collected or used.

5. Service Providers and Information Sharing: We may rely on Wix and other service providers to host, maintain, secure, or support our website and respond to inquiries. These providers may process information as needed to perform their services, subject to applicable terms and legal requirements.

We may also disclose information when required by law, in response to valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect our rights, property, safety, or the rights of others.

Our website may link to external websites or services. Those websites operate independently and have their own privacy practices. We encourage you to review their policies before providing information to them.

6. Sale of Personal Information: We do not sell personal information that you submit directly through our website contact form. This statement is limited to information submitted through that form and is not a representation that no website platform, cookie, or third-party technology collects or processes technical information about visitors.

7. Data Retention and Security: We retain website-related information for as long as reasonably necessary for its intended purpose, business operations, dispute resolution, or applicable legal requirements.

We take reasonable steps to manage and protect information in light of its nature and our circumstances. However, no website, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please do not assume that information sent through a website form or ordinary email is confidential solely because it is directed to a counseling practice.

8. Privacy Requests and Applicable Rights: Depending on the information involved and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information submitted through our website.

To submit a request, email bianca@lumora-counseling.com. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive health information. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some information may need to be retained, or a request may be limited, where permitted or required by law.

9. Children's Privacy: Our public website and general contact form are not intended to knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our website, please contact us so we can review the matter and take appropriate steps consistent with applicable law.
