About Me

Hi, I’m Bianca, the therapist behind Lumora Counseling.

My approach is rooted in the belief that healing does not have to be rushed. Many of the people I work with have spent years trying to hold things together while feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of why they feel the way they do.

Rather than jumping straight into fixing things, I focus on slowing things down and helping you understand what may be underneath those patterns.

I want therapy to feel like a space where you can show up as yourself without feeling pressure to get it right, filter your emotions, or be a certain way.

I tend to work well with people who have spent a long time carrying a lot internally while appearing steady on the outside, and who are ready for something to feel different.

If this feels like a place you could start, we can take it one step at a time.

Who I Work With

I work with teens (12+), young adults, and adults.

Many of the people I work with are navigating anxiety, trauma, ADHD, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, or major life transitions.

Often, there is a sense of holding a lot internally while trying to appear okay on the outside.

My clients are usually looking for more than quick coping skills. They want to better understand themselves, feel more connected, and move through life with greater clarity and confidence.

Background & Approach

My work is grounded in an attachment-focused and trauma-informed approach that is always tailored to you and your unique experiences.

I also have a strong interest in working with adults exploring ADHD later in life, especially those who may have felt overlooked, misunderstood, or unsupported growing up.

Therapy with me is collaborative, thoughtful, and paced in a way that allows space to understand what is happening beneath the surface rather than rushing toward solutions.

Depending on your needs, I may draw from approaches such as:

EMDR, which helps process experiences that still feel unresolved or emotionally stuck

Parts work, which explores different parts of yourself and how they developed

Somatic work, which focuses on how emotions and stress show up in the body

CBT, which looks at patterns between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors

Outside of the therapy room

Outside of sessions, I spend most of my time with my three dogs, Charlie, Ollie, and Teddy. My husband and I are happily outnumbered.

I love iced coffee no matter the season, getting lost in mystery and thriller novels, and rewatching Friends more often than I’d like to admit.

Oregon and the Pacific Northwest are some of my favorite places to unplug and feel grounded. I also enjoy exploring local coffee shops and finding small ways to slow down and recharge.

If you have been considering therapy for some time, there is no pressure to have everything sorted out before beginning.

Often, part of the process is making sense of things as you go
